My name is Dean Best

I have spent a lifetime pushing the boundaries of exquisite digital art in my quest to capture and share the most beautiful places on earth with all of humanity.

As a self-taught pioneer in the field of landscape photography, I travel the world snapping pristine images of the natural wonders of the world, like the magical lights of the Aurora Borealis in Iceland, the lake reflection of the wine-colored twin peaks of Maroon Bells in the majestic Elk Mountains, and soft, peaceful dew settling on the quiet fields of a Romanian hay farm at dawn.

I was born and raised in New York City, USA. I am accustomed to taking the road less traveled. My journey continually leads me to seek locations off the beaten path to discover unique snapshots of Mother Nature that drift on the perimeters of consciousness.

I love treading on ground that few have sojourned to uncover the most extraordinary perspectives in landscape scenes and distinctively encapsulate them in astonishing digital downloads, one-of-a-kind metal, canvas, and acrylic formats that can't be created by many other photographers or artists anywhere in the world.

I do not employ support staff to help me plan my travels, set up shots, or brainstorm concepts and perspectives. I do it all as a solopreneur with just myself and my gear. I scout the locations and prepare the shoots. Then painstakingly coax fantastic imagery from every excursion I take. And I do it using nothing more than my native talent and creativity, no matter how challenging the endeavor, due to the location's setting, weather, or accessibility.

Ninety percent of my time is spent traveling the world year-round. Presently, I am drawn to the plight of the Ukrainian people and have been granted an indefinite residency in their beautiful country to capture this time in history.

For most people, photography is a hobby or an interesting job. For me, it's a way of life that I have lived for as long as I can remember. I receive pleasure and respite from the toils of the mundane by striving for perfection in my craft and enjoying the free exercise of my imagination.
